Cotto Etrusco – timeless Italian craftsmanship
Cotto Etrusco embodies the perfect harmony between centuries-old Italian terracotta tradition and contemporary design. Each product is entirely handcrafted with respect for nature, materials and people. Terracotta surfaces with unrivalled authenticity are created from a reopened Etruscan clay quarry and old wood-fired kilns.
Terre Ossidate, natural oxides for soft colors
The collections range from pure Terracotta Naturale to the refined Terre Ossidate, in which natural oxides and low firing temperatures create soft, contemporary colours that allow the structure of the clay to speak for itself. Each piece is unique: subtle imperfections, colour variations and textures are not accidental, but proof of true craftsmanship
.
Cotto Etrusco also stands out for its 100% ecological and sustainable production process: hand-formed clay, first fired in wood-fired kilns using ethically sourced wood and a second firing using solar energy. Innovation takes shape in the in-house laboratory and through collaborations with designers worldwide.
