Barcelona tiles are made in Spain near Barcelona.

Barcelona tiles are formed by extrusion. That is, the clay is pressed through a nozzle that has the shape of two tiles. This is also how they go into the kiln.This technique avoids the tiles warping during firing.After firing, the tiles are split, hence the name split tile.

The basic sizes are 27x13x1.3 and 27.5x27.5 but larger sizes are also available upon request.Tiles with a straight or rounded nose for stairs, as well as baseboards, are also available.

Available colors are red, orange, beige white, gray and chocolate.Specific to these tiles are the variegated colors.No tile is identical in color.

Like all of our terracotta collection, these tiles are made of local natural clay fired in a kiln. Since energy is the most expensive resource, firing is done as economically as possible, preferably in the summer. Rejected tiles are crushed and recycled for the next production.
