New Terracotta is located in Central Portugal . This country has a rich tradition with glazing tiles, the famous azulejos. The handmade tiles are made in a factory on a human scale. No large industrial scale with large runs.

The New Terracotta tiles are first formed by hand from local natural clay. Afterwards, a glaze is applied and the tile is fired in a kiln.The precise method is based on the time-honored tradition of Portuguese azulejos and is more secret than Coca Cola's recipe.

You can choose from more than 142 dazzling glazes made by artisans in Portugal. These range from subtle, bright and semi-transparabe to deep and metallic colors. Each has a historical and artistic background. See downloads

Just about everywhere. They love wet areas such as shower, bathroom or kitchen. You can also use them on the floor or for an outdoor application (some colours excepted).
