Cubex is the first modern integrated kitchen in the world that was built from standard 60x60 modules. The designer of Cubex, the Belgian architect Louis-Herman De Koninck, was the first to pay attention to the ease of use of a kitchen. He was also the first to build appliances into a kitchen and thought 60cm was a good width for this. Cubex is also a Belgian design classic: recognizable and timeless.

You can recognize the original Cubex, which was produced from the late 1930s to the late 1960s, by its rounded fronts, rounded brackets, wood interior finish and glass storage drawers. On the inside, the Cubex brand is engraved. The original Cubex was particularly solidly built, which is why there are still many originals in use today. Today's Cubex also meets all of these characteristics.

When developing today's Cubex, we based ourselves on an original model from 1938, and also carefully studied the drawings of the designer Louis Herman De Koninck. We have adapted these to today's needs with a higher worktop, the installation of contemporary appliances, such as a dishwasher or cooker hood, and the use of contemporary hinges and guides. However, we do stay true to the original design and build the kitchen as solidly as it was in the past. We also still pay royalties to the heirs for the design and the Cubex brand.

The C30 and C60 are both rock-solid contemporary Cubex kitchens. The C30 stays a little closer to the original Cubex, with doors that don't completely cover the corpus but click in, with clunky brackets and an interior wood finish. The C60 is a contemporary kitchen with fronts entirely in overlay, slightly finer brackets and a plain interior finish.

The price of a Cubex obviously depends on many factors such as size, number of drawers, degree of customization, color and so on. A Cubex project starts at about 20K in C60. In C30, this same design will quickly be a third more expensive.

Based on the client's wishes, we design the kitchen from A to Z, adapted to the space, but respecting the Cubex design. Just make an appointment and bring some measurements, sketches or photos. Then we will make a first design without any obligation.

We design, make and install the Cubex kitchen. That is one and indivisible package.

Worktops and appliances are separate from Cubex so you are free in this. But we like to work with appliances and worktops that are as solid as the kitchen itself. We make worktops in terrrazzo or glazed lava stone ourselves.

Cubex is a registered trademark and the designs are also copyrighted under design law. Thus, copying is illegal and can lead to prosecution.
