Modern Clay

Modern Clay is the collective name for our sleekest terracotta tiles.  Unlike handmade terracotta, modern clay is more regular in shape and surface.  This type of tiles was popular in the 60s and 70s but is now enjoying a revival.  They are tiles created by pressing natural clay into a mould.  These tiles are perfectly inmperfect and may show slight differences in shape and colour.  Modern clay combines the charm of natural products with the ease of use of ceramic tiles. They are easy to maintain and can also often be used outdoors.  Often the same shade is available in both rectangular and square shapes.
